BDA was started by Sean & Colette Billings, providing an independent design consultancy service to developers, architects, engineers, main contractors and cladding contractors. Colman Billings, an industrial designer, joined in 1992 and became a director of BDA in 1998.
Billings Design Associates is a small consultancy with highly skilled staff based in Dublin. They have associates which include facade, structural and environmental engineers, architects and material scientists with whom they work on projects depending on the specialist skills or local knowledge required.
Their associates are located in London, Glasgow, Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, New York, Toronto, Johannesburg, Singapore and Sydney.
